MICE Sales Manager
About the employer:
This is a globally-branded hotel in Kent boasts extensive event space, with capacity for up to 600 people. The hotel also comprises stylish bedrooms and popular F&B concepts. The proactive MICE Sales Manager will manage existing direct corporate clients and MICE booking agents and generate new events and groups business from across the wider southeast UK market and key international feeder markets. A popular wedding venue, the MICE Sales Manager will also promote the hotel in the UK weddings market.
About the role
The MICE Sales Manager will proactively drive events, groups and weddings business into the hotel.
Target and contract new direct and agency business as required and in line with the hotel sales strategy.
Manage and develop existing direct and agency client accounts.
Work closely with the Area Director of Sales and hotel event sales team.
Network and influence the brand global and regional sales teams.
Meet and exceed defined MICE sales targets.
Hold site visits and client visits as required.
Produce sales reports as required.
What we are looking for
Hotel or venue MICE sales experience is essential.
Current experience within the Kent or southeast London market is highly desirable.
A proven track record of successful account management and business development essential.
A self-motivated, proactive and can-do proactive attitude is required.
Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills.
Salary and package:
Up to £35,000 per annum plus bonus and benefits.
