Job Summary We are seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in maintaining and repairing heavy goods vehicles. This role involves working with various power tools and equipment, performing heavy lifting, and ensuring that all vehicles are in optimal working condition. The HGV Technician will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service while adhering to safety standards. Candidates should possess the following skills and experience: - A relevant qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, such as an NVQ or City & Guilds Level 3. - Proven experience as an HGV Technician, preferably within a busy workshop environment. - Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and software. - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. - A full UK driving licence, with an HGV licence being highly advantageous. Responsibilities - Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of heavy goods vehicles to ensure compliance with safety regulations. - Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. - Utilise power tools effectively for repairs and maintenance tasks.
