Business Development Manager

Business Development & Marketing Manager Maritime Sector 1 year FTC Hybrid working – 2-3 in office An international law firm is looking for a Business Development Manager to support the firm’s maritime sector as part of a global sector team. This is a 1 year maternity contract that will see you managing a small team of two and reports to the Senior BD Manager for transport. Critical to driving growth in this exciting area, the role will involve working at both strategic and operational level, developing new business and managing existing clients. This is a fantastic opportunity as you will be working on one of the firm’s flagship sectors in a high profile role that works closely with the Sector Head. Key activities : Implement and deliver on the Maritime BDM plan, driving sector led campaigns and further development of long term client relationships. Project managing pitch opportunities including coaching of Partners and teams and overseeing all relevant pitch collateral. Proactively identify opportunities to grow business with existing clients and new prospects. Successful candidates will have : At least 6 years of BD&M experience gained in professional services or in a maritime/transport related industry Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills Experience as a Mentor or Manager for junior members of the team and able to act as an Ambassador for the firm’s values around respect, sharing and integrity.
