We have an exciting opportunity at our Sheena Simon Campus to join our Foundation Learning and Student Support Department as a Safeguarding Team Leader on a permanent, full time (35 hours per week) basis.

The purpose of this role is to effectively manage a team of Safeguarding Practitioners to ensure a high-quality level of safeguarding support and interventions are provided.

Provide safeguarding case assessments, reviews and monitoring focused on targeted and timely support for at-risk students including high risk safeguarding.

Develop an effective 'early' help offer and work with cross-college teams to promote effective education and prevention support.

Provide case supervision and ensure timely safeguarding interventions are provided.

In order to do this, you will need:

Qualified to at least Level 4 in a relevant subject - e.g. Teaching, Social Care, Youth Work, Careers Guidance. Minimum of Level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics or equivalent. Experience of working with working with young people and adults in similar environment. Experience of working with vulnerable / 'at risk' young people and adults. Line Management experience. Experience of working with internal / external agencies. Experience of risk assessments and defensible decision making.
