1:1 Teaching Assistant – Pupil Referral Unit – PRU School - Secondary – Lewisham - £85 to £105 per day – Starting ASAP – Full-time * 1:1 Teaching Assistant required for a PRU School in Lewisham. * 1:1 Teaching Assistant available to start ASAP. * 1:1 Teaching Assistant with strong behaviour management skills. * Experience within a PRU would be ideal, however a coaching or mentoring background in sports would be desirable. The Role – 1:1 Teaching Assistant As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will provide tailored care to a child within the age range of 11 - 19, who has Special Educational Needs (SEN) that cannot be met in a mainstream school. Experience in a SEN setting, as well as a background in sports coaching would be ideal for this role, helping to engage and motivate the child. Also, a background in tutoring is preferred, to help support the students’ academic success. The School – 1:1 Teaching Assistant This PRU school maintains a Good rating in their 2022 Ofsted inspection. The school is based in Lewisham, with close transport links to the DLR. This PRU School caters to a total of 99 students, that have been excluded from a mainstream school, either due to behaviour or having SEN that cannot be met.
