Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) Location: Northampton Hours: Full-time | Monday to Friday Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a full-time capacity. This role requires flexibility and commitment to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment Responsibilities: * Classroom Support: Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to SEN students, assisting with academic tasks and social interactions across multiple classrooms. * Behavioral Assistance: Help students manage their emotions and behaviors, promoting a positive, supportive learning environment. * Personal Care: Offer personal care support as needed, including assistance with toileting for pupils who are not yet toilet trained. * Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, other TAs, and support staff to adapt resources and strategies for each student. * Adaptability: Be prepared to support across various classrooms depending on daily needs. Key Requirements: * SEN Experience: Proven experience working with students with ASD and ADHD, ideally within a classroom or care home setting. * Flexibility and Resilience: Ability to move between classrooms and adapt to changing situations with patience and understanding. * Personal Care Support: Willingness to provide personal care if necessary.
