Customer Service Advisor (Social Housing) - TEMP

We are looking to recruit a number of Customer Service Advisors on behalf of a well-established housing association in Merseyside, on a temporary basis until the end of Jan 2025.
You will be working a 35 hour week, between the hours of 8am and 8pm Monday to Friday on a rotating shift pattern, with a requirement to work 1 in 3 Saturdays up until 12 noon. You will initially be required in the office Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm whilst you take part in training, but will then be allowed to work from home 2 or 3 days per week once your training has been passed.

Your new role

  • Acting as first point of contact for customers, responding to general queries or complaints regarding a variety of housing/tenancy matters such as anti-social behaviour, rent/arrears, repairs, gas & electrical servicing
  • Logging contact on system and aiming to provide a first time resolution to customers
  • Raising work orders
  • Receiving and responding to allocations enquiries
  • Investigating and following up on existing enquiries or requests
  • Liaising with internal colleagues where necessary and making referrals to appropriate teams
What you'll need to succeed
  • Minimum 12 months experience working within a complex customer service environment and dealing with complaints
  • Experience of dealing with vulnerable customers and the ability to handle difficult & challenging enquiries
  • Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Empathy and sensitivity with the ability to be assertive yet supportive
  • Confident IT user
  • Ability to work between the hours of 8am and 8pm, with 1 in 3 Saturdays
