Job Requirements / Description
We have a vacancv for a Team Leader ( 35 hours per week ) in Thornliebank, East Renfrewshire. This service consists of a 24 hour supported living service for two people and three outreach services, all around the same location. The support living service has a sleepover in place.
The successful candidate must have at least two years’ experience working in a social care environment supporting adults with a learning disability. Candidates must also hold a Scottish Vocational Qualification in Health and Social Care at level 3 and be willing to work towards achieving further management qualifications. A driving licence is desirable but not essential.
The role of Team Leader includes but is not restricted to;
* Working in close partnership with the Manager of the service
* Allocating and delegating work tasks to the support team
* Responsible for preparing and monitoring rotas. This includes ensuring staff cover for sickness, annual leave and training
* Supervising staff both formally and informally
* Mentoring and coaching staff
* Dealing with performance management issues
* Assisting the Manager with the recruitment and selection of staff
A Team Leader must also have strong communication skills with the ability to work in partnership with a variety of other professional agencies. They must have excellent recording and reporting skills and a good level of IT skills.
