Brief description of the position, its main responsibility and contribution towards the business' results. Is a Quality and Food Safety Champion. Assisting the Quality Assurance Supervisor to maintain, verify & monitor the Quality & Food Safety plan to ensure internal, customer & third party requirements are met and incoming raw material and packaging are delivered to specification. To promote a Quality Culture within the business.

Plan, organise and carry out all production process verification and monitoring from a QA perspective ensuring all tasks are completed.

Plan, organise and carry out daily QA tasks involving all raw material, WIP and Finished product. Ensuring samples for internal monitoring and /or analysis are collected, processed and all results are recorded appropriately and actioned as necessary

Take direct action and provide support to QA's in the event of issues / incidents / non conformity, escalating as required to ensure appropriate and robust immediate corrective action is taken. Work with relevant departments to determine root cause and corrective / preventative actions.

Ensure process, preoperational and food safety audits are carried out by the QA team according to schedule, and effectively communicating any potential issues.

Audit production paperwork to verify that traceability is achieved throughout the production process, and accurate legible records are completed accordingly. Ensure filing of QA records, and verification production records are completed, ensuring these are easily retrievable at all times.

Assist in the investigation of customer complaints, taking decisions when possible and escalating issues when necessary, while working with the production teams to identify Root Cause. Work on the implementation as well as support and monitor the implementation of agreed corrective and preventative actions.

Ensure new equipment is inspected on receipt and a new equipment sign off form completed.
Ensure that relevant equipment is verified according to the Calibration Plan, taking appropriate action in the event of out of tolerance results.

Ensure, as well as carry out raw material and packaging inspections at reception, according to procedure to ensure compliance to approved specification, raising non conformances and putting the material on hold where applicable.

Assess and validate every raw material CoA on receit and react accordingly when not correct.
Ensure that environmental monitoring is undertaken against schedule ensuring results are recorded appropriately, actioned as necessary and communicated to all involved.

Ensure that Collection, preparation and logging of samples for external laboratory testing is carried out to schedule. Understanding results and ensuring out of specification results are actioned accordingly.
Qualifications:
Education: (Technical studies, intern, degree, master, etc..) ▪ Level 3 Hygiene minimum ▪ Basic Health and Safety ▪ HACCP Area of Study (Finance, Engineer, Systems, Telecom, Architecture, Admin, Economy, etc..) Food science or equivalent
