Data Designer

Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Sentinel and SOX Solution Designer to join our client on an initial 3-month contract (potential to extend after this). You will work closely with the architecture team, taking high-level designs and creating detailed, low-level design documents for a Microsoft Sentinel instance. This role requires a blend of technical design expertise and knowledge of SOX compliance and SIEMs to ensure the solution meets both business and technical requirements. Design Development : Translate high-level designs from the architecture team into detailed low-level designs for a Sentinel implementation. Ensure the design meets both business and technical requirements, focusing on security, compliance, and operational efficiency. Account for all necessary technical integrations and ensure they are clearly defined in the design. Incorporate automation into the design wherever possible to optimise efficiency and minimise manual processes. Design Documentation : Produce comprehensive design documentation, which will be passed to the Azure and Windows teams for implementation. Provide regular updates in stakeholder meetings on the design’s progress and any roadblocks encountered. Work closely with internal teams, including the wider solution design community, to ensure process alignment and knowledge sharing. Proven experience in Solution Design within the Sentinel and Microsoft Identity ecosystems. Strong understanding of SOX compliance and experience ensuring designs adhere to these regulatory requirements. Expertise in SIEMs (Security Information and Event Management) integration and design. Knowledge of automation practices, with the ability to incorporate them into design strategies. Excellent documentation skills , with a focus on creating actionable design documents for technical teams. Experience working in Azure environments and with Windows teams for deployment.
