Role Overview:

We seek an experienced Design Engineer with a background in engineering and machining, ideally with exposure to foundry operations or automotive projects. You will work in a busy, collaborative environment, contributing to the design and development of custom, high-precision components. The ideal candidate will not only have technical expertise but also a forward-thinking mind-set to help drive future growth in our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design precision components and tooling using CATIA or Autodesk software, ensuring adherence to strict accuracy and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with engineers, machinists, and other team members to optimize designs for manufacturability and cost-efficiency.
  • Interpret technical drawings and specifications, making adjustments as needed to meet specific requirements.
  • Support the full product lifecycle, from initial design through to final production and quality control.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams to understand project requirements and deliver on expectations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to a culture of continuous development within the team.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Design Engineer in an engineering machining environment, preferably with exposure to foundry operations or automotive tooling.
  • Proficiency in CATIA or Autodesk software, with the ability to create detailed, precise designs.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, patternmaking, and machining processes.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to design challenges.
