Accountant £35,600k Permanent Chester Accountant required to join one of our not for profit organisations on a full time permanent based in Chester. My client is looking for an experienced Rent & Service Charge Accountant to join their supportive and vibrant finance function. As the Rent & Service Charge Accountant you will work within a team of 4 and will be required to process and deliver accurate service charge information: Key responsibilities. Provide accurate service charge accounting for all service charge payers, ensuring all relevant costs are identified and recharged appropriately. Prepare service charge budgets in line with Association's budget setting procedure and timetable. Prepare and send information to variable service charge payers in line with prevailing legislation where required. Maintain database of service charge costs to enable the periodic service charge review to be completed accurately. Responsible for fair rent database and registration bi-annually of fair rents within your remit. Managing and maintaining the accuracy of financial information to ensure regulatory and statutory compliance To be responsible for the annual service charge reviews for your remit.Required skills and experience; Ideally Part ACCA/CIMA/ACA or equivalent Ability to demonstrate working with large volumes of numerical data with accuracy Experience of operating within a diverse organisation Knowledge and understanding of Government Rent Standard and Service Charge Legislation Strong IT skills including Microsoft Excel Excellent organisation skills Great communication skills both verbal and writtenThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a passionate and reputable not-for-profit organisation with the opportunity for hybrid-working.
