Vision for Education is seeking enthusiastic, motivated individuals, especially those with a passion for working in Education as a Teaching Assistant to join our successful team working with Primary schools in the South Gloucestershire area. We can offer full time TA roles with flexible start dates to suit the successful candidate. Due to the location, you ideally will be a driver and have access to your own vehicle.  About the role Vision for Education are excited to offer this bespoke opportunity to support passionate people with entering the education sector. We work alongside our client schools to provide successful Trainee Teaching Assistants with high quality training and paid on the job experience. Following a successful interview and pending suitability, safeguarding and identity checks, we will work to secure you a paid placement in a school to further enhance your skill set. We will support you to develop your identity as an educator and help to choose your specialist area from EYFS, KS1 and KS2 provision. Prior to starting your placement, you will be required to complete a comprehensive online training programme delivered by Vision for Education, ultimately providing you with the essential skills needed to work as a Teaching Assistant. You will need to be able to work 5 days a week, from 8:30 - 3:30 each day. The role starts as a temporary role, but successful candidates are often made permanent within 18 weeks. About the school The successful Teaching Assistant will be working with a variety of primary schools within the South Gloucestershire area (Yate, Chipping Sodbury, Kingswood, Thornbury, Filton, Patchway and Bradley Stoke) who are focused on supporting students to reach their full potential. With Teaching Assistants being instrumental in ensuring the smooth running of any school, you will demonstrate excellent communication skills and demonstrate an interest and passion in supporting the needs of all children. The role of a Teaching Assistant varies from each school. Initially you will be required to support the delivery of quality learning and work with students on a 1:1 basis, in small groups and whole class activities. Requirements To be considered for the role of Trainee Teaching Assistant you will: Have a desire to support young people with their learning Show dedication for improving outcomes for all children Have a caring, positive and flexible attitude Be proactive and a good communicator Be reliable in both attendance and punctuality Be able to drive and have access to their own vehicle Be free and available for the placement to start within a few weeks of registering Complete the required training and participating in ongoing CPD Be willing to pay for an enhanced DBS check and register with the update service Vision for Education is committed to safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults.
