Job: Senior Residential Support Worker Location: Redhill Salary: Up to £37,720 Full-time, Permanent, Every other weekend off! As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will: Lead by example, providing direct care and unwavering support to children and young people in a residential setting. Foster a safe, nurturing environment that encourages positive relationships and a sense of belonging. Support personal development, life skills, independence, and positive decision-making. Advocate for education, assisting with homework and instilling a love for learning. Collaborate with colleagues and professionals for holistic care, valuing open communication. Maintain meticulous records in alignment with regulations and company guidelines. Mentor and supervise junior staff, sharing your expertise and insights. Participate in team meetings, training, and supervision to continuously enhance your skills. Qualifications and Requirements: Proven experience in residential care, preferably in a senior or supervisory role. A genuine, compassionate disposition devoted to the well-being of children and young people. Stellar interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with children, colleagues, and external experts. Leadership abilities, with the poise and confidence to manage challenging circumstances. Dedication to the welfare and safeguarding of young individuals. Flexibility to embrace shifts, including evenings and weekends, with every other weekend off. Minimum age of 21 years (as per legislative stipulations).
