My Client is recruiting for a Service Engineer in the Water Sector
Field-based in North of London/Cambridge (UK Wide when required)
Permanent, Full-time, 37.5 hours

If so, we have a fantastic opportunity to join our leading, well respected water technologies company, where you will play a pivotal role in giving our customers the best in class quality service, focusing on the Pharmaceutical market, by providing on-site corrective/preventive maintenance for customer's water treatment equipment, including equipment swap outs, emergency response etc. Once fully trained and competent you will be required to carry out commissioning work on standard equipment, and provide after-sales technical and commercial support. As part of this role you will also be required to complete risk assessments, work reports, activity reports and other documentation. You will be expected to go on the 'On Call Rota' once fully trained.
Some more brief responsibilities of a Service Engineer are:
- To develop and maintain good working relationships with customers.
- To observe, abide by and enforce the Company's and client's Health & Safety policies.
- To provide on-site corrective /preventative maintenance and offer after-sales technical and commercial support.
- Carry out commissioning work
- Timely completion and submission of risk assessments work reports, time sheets and all other documentation
- Timely completion of site tasks and activities as required.
- To propose and undertake any relevant training approved by your line manager
- Gather site information and compile site log-books for customers, maintain and audit.
General requirements for the role:
- NVQ or higher in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering or similar or even working towards.
- Experience with the water treatment industry would be an advantage but is not essential.
- Knowledge of the Pharmaceutical market is desirable.
- A full UK driving licence is required.
- Good communication skills, punctual, presentable, and willing to learn and develop.
- Knowledge and experience of the company products, applications and markets is desirable.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Passionate about providing a first-class service to our customers.
- Able to handle challenging conversations with customers and find a resolution.
- Strong communication skills both verbally and written, with the versatility to communicate at all levels in a clear and concise manner.
- Demonstrable experience of having built strong working relationships both internally and externally.
- A good level of IT competency.
- Able to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks.
