At Peabody, we believe in creating a safe, caring, and connected community where everyone has the support they need to live independently, with dignity and respect. As a Scheme Manager, you will have the opportunity to live out our values: Be Kind, Do the Right Thing, Celebrate Diversity, Love New Ideas, Keep Our Promises, and Pull Together in a meaningful way.
We are seeking candidates who can speak or understand Punjabi.
This role will place you at the heart of an older people’s housing scheme, where your compassion and commitment to resident well-being will drive the work you do. You’ll be supporting residents to maintain their independence, while ensuring their safety and security. By working closely with them, you’ll help resolve repairs and maintenance issues, manage risks, and safeguard their overall well-being.
You'll need to be a natural communicator, confident in building relationships across the organisation and with external agencies. Your ability to listen with empathy, coupled with a keen eye for detail, will enable you to continuously assess residents’ needs, ensuring they receive the right level of care and support.
We trust you to make the right decisions, managing queries and resolving concerns promptly. As part of your role, you’ll take ownership of maintaining accurate records, complying with regulations, and ensuring that the schemes remain safe, secure, and welcoming.
We are looking for someone who not only takes pride in the physical upkeep of the scheme but is passionate about fostering community spirit. You’ll organise activities that promote well-being, encourage participation, and make the schemes feel like home, not just a place to live.
We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for both our residents and staff. You’ll be supporting individuals from a wide range of backgrounds, which requires an understanding of equality, diversity, and inclusion, and a deep respect for each person’s unique journey.
Success in this role means ensuring residents feel valued, respected, and empowered in their homes. It means maintaining a high standard of cleanliness, safety, and security, while also fostering a lively, engaging community where residents can thrive.
If you’re someone who enjoys working independently, taking initiative, and balancing multiple priorities, this role could be perfect for you. You’ll be supported to develop professionally and personally, with regular opportunities for training and development.
Join us and help us keep our promises to the people we serve, working together to create brighter, more secure futures for all.
Key Requirements:
* Experience in housing management, supporting vulnerable adults, risk assessments and safeguarding.
* Strong communication skills, with an ability to build meaningful, professional relationships while maintaining appropriate boundaries.
* Competency in IT and Microsoft Office, with a focus on accuracy in maintaining records and reports.
* Knowledge of equality, diversity, and inclusion, and a commitment to ensuring these principles are at the heart of our services.
This role is offered as a full-time, 35 hour, fixed term contract across Monday to Friday and requires an Enhanced DBS check.
If this role excites you, we’d love to hear how you’ll bring our values to life through your work. Apply now and join us in making a real difference!
