Employment Advisor Salary – £28,420 + Benefits Worksop Permanent/Full Time Job Purpose: To deliver guidance and training services to unemployed individuals, aiding their progression into employment, training, and education. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with team members to deliver tailored advice and training interventions, coordinating with external agencies such as Job Centre Plus (JCP), local partners, employers, and training providers. Facilitate both one-to-one and group sessions, including assessments, inductions, job search support, and follow-ups, addressing individual learning needs and breaking down barriers to employment. Ensure data security, create/update customer CVs, conduct better-off calculations, and refer customers to relevant agencies. Maintain regular interaction with customers through face-to-face meetings, phone calls, and email, helping them access job search tools and recording progress. Develop resources for employability training, evaluate sessions, and address safeguarding concerns. Support broader team activities such as bid writing and new service development. Key Stakeholders Unemployed individuals, JCP advisors, local authorities, employers, colleges, probation services, and training providers. Essential Skills: Experience in sales, B2B, customer service, or welfare-to-work industry. Ability to work under pressure, both independently and as part of a team. Strong IT, data security, and administration skills. Ability to meet targets and KPIs, with strong time management and organisational skills. Experience: Experience in working to targets, networking, and promoting services. Knowledge: Strong understanding of the local labour market, recruitment methods, welfare-to-work, and training opportunities. Personal Style: Warm, professional, compassionate, understanding and adaptable. Strong rapport-building, negotiation skills, listening and communication skills, alignment with company values.
