Commercial Gas Engineer

Due to company growth, we are looking for an additional engineer in this area. We. are looking to recruit a qualified Commercial Gas / Heating Engineer who has experience working across multiple sites carrying out service and maintenance on HVAC systems. Hours of work – Monday to Friday 8:00am – 5:30pm (42.5 hours per week with Standby Rota of 1 week in every 4) Overtime available at 1.5x standard rate What you’ll be doing: The HVAC Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair all HVAC plant and equipment in stores to a pre-determined standard in an efficient and cost-effective manner. Duties will include (but not limited to): * Complete the PPM agreed schedule ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and to the laid-down procedures. * To respond (promptly and positively) to service call/alarm requests from the central Helpdesk and to assess the requirements of the job and carry out repairs as necessary within agreed timescales and response times. Updating the call and job status afterwards. * Carry out service and maintenance on HVAC assets including but not limited to air handling units with gas fired heating, LPHW, DX coils, heat pump systems, single split air conditioning, LPHW boilers, pumps, inverters, DHW boilers, and water chillers. * To identify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery and promptly advise the Line Manager of findings and to make recommendations to the Line Manager regarding suitable replacement. * All completed within our Health, Safety & Environmental policies * About you - The ‘essentials’: * You will hold recognized Commercial Gas qualifications – you will have at least 4 of the following qualifications: COCN1, CIGA1, CORT1, TPCP1, TPCP1A, ICPN1, CENWAT, CPA1, CDGA1, CCP1 * F Gas (2079) qualified * 17th or 18th Edition (Desirable) * You will be professional, pleasant, friendly, flexible, courteous and helpful at all times whilst carrying a hands-on, can-do approach to your work * A positive approach, able to work in a dynamic business environment (and adapt accordingly), but above all be committed to the delivery of outstanding customer service * Experience of HVAC /Gas in a multi site environment * Full Driving Licence and willing to travel on a daily basis What we can offer you as part of our team: * 10% discount in ASDA stores (once your first 12 weeks have been completed) * A fantastic benefits package including: o Private medical insurance o Healthshield (reclaim medical expenses) o Pension scheme o Discounts in popular retailers, cinemas and restaurants/food to go outlets across the UK * Generous Life Assurance benefit * 33 days holiday inclusive of Bank Holidays * Company Vehicle * Cycle to Work scheme If you feel these qualities describe you, then we would like to hear from you.
