Accountant

Company Accountant Our client are urgently seeking a company accountant to join their business. Initially a 12 month contract however there is a potential of being a permanent member of staff. Overall Job purpose To Support the finance department to meet deadlines and to ensure all transactions are processed in a timely and efficient manner. Duties Support and work closely with the accounts assistant to ensure purchase ledger, sales ledger, and cash book are up to date and reconciled. Month end process and Other duties Complete the month end processing: accruals, prepayments, travel expenses, foreign currency revaluations entries for review with the plant controller. Review month end results on day one prior to submission in collaboration with the plant controller Complete the monthly group submission file. Preparation and submission of monthly group reporting and Blackline reconciliation's. Monitor and review manufacturing variances and to lead the regular review meetings. Develop and implement reporting requirements Filing of the national statistics returns Quarterly VAT submission Year end, Budgets & Forecasts Support the year end close Support the year end Audit Provide inputs for the year end Income Tax submissions Provide inputs for the forecasting and budgeting process Payroll Assist in transferring payroll activities to shared service centre in the Netherlands. Ensure payments are processed for Monthly pay, Pensions and other payroll payments. Others Develop and implement reporting requirements. Quarterly VAT submission Any ad hoc duties as and when directed by the plant controller Must Haves Efficient and accurate Autonomous Good communication skills Good time management, comfortable working with deadlines Hands on team player Good spreadsheet skills. ERP knowledge Ideally holds a professional accountancy qualification At least three to five years relevant experience
