MEP Design Manager

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an aspiring MEP Design Manager to join our ever-growing team an entrepreneurial business based in London's West End with ambitious plans for growth. This business has created an in-house construction division to complete thousands of hotel rooms, homes, and commercial projects and they are now looking to strengthen their design team. About the MEP Design Manager role To oversee various projects from Stage 2 to Completion, this is a strategic position managing the Design Team and Subcontractors throughout the journey. To ensure the delivery of an effective, cost-efficient and robust design and installation of mechanical and electrical services in construction projects. Oversee external consultants in the design phase to ensure that proposals are optimised for performance, longevity, ease of maintenance and cost efficiency. Lead on the production of specifications, ensuring the optimum balance of cost efficiency, robustness, performance, costs in use and service. To maintain effective relationships in order to ensure the successful delivery of projects with all relevant stakeholders.Requirements for the MEP Design Manager role A minimum of 5 years' experience in MEP Design and Project Management. Demonstrating working experience on D&B projects for Main / Sub Contractors - familiar with delivering CDP packages. A demonstrable expert understanding of MEP design, construction processes and technology. A proven track record of helping to deliver complex projects at pace, ability to work to tight deadlines. Qualified to BSc level in mechanical or electrical engineering or extensive demonstrable experience.Whats on offer for an MEP Design Manager Pension Scheme matched up to 6%. 26 days holiday plus bank holidays and rising to 30 days after 8 years' service.
