The role of the Hire Desk Team Leader – Formwork/Falsework will involve:
* Hire Desk Team Leader position dealing with the hire & sale of a range of groundworks, reinforcements, concrete accessories, waterproofing and formwork and falsework
* Selling to main contractors including Kier, Laing O’Rourke, Skanska, Bam Nuttall, Ground Construction Ltd, Munnings etc.
* Also selling to builders merchants, end users and the trade
* Lead a customer service / hire desk team with 6 direct reports
* Coach and develop team members to improve the scope of tasks which can be undertaken unsupervised whilst maintain high levels of customer service
* Produce regular management reports to ensure business objectives are met
* Be the first point of contact for customers ensuring into the hire & sales department
* Process orders and monitor projects from initial order to return
* Enter all information accurately and promptly into data systems and CRM’s
* Dealing with projects ranging from small hire sales for £100 up to large bespoke projects of circa £600k
The ideal applicant will be Hire Desk Team Leader – Formwork/Falsework with:
* Must have experience within the hire & sales industry
* Must have 3+ years’ experience within a management or supervisory role
* Must have experience within the construction industry, ideally temporary works such as falsework/formwork or wider construction accessories
* Must have commercial awareness when dealing with problems
* Tenacious, professional and high attention to detail
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Highly organised, confident and personable
* Excellent customer service and relationship building skills
