Full Stack GIS Developer – 12 Month Contract - £450 Per day – Outside IR35
Our client is at the forefront of geospatial technology, delivering innovative, data-driven solutions to transform industries and are looking to engage a Full Stack GIS Developer. You will be working with cutting-edge tools to develop high-performance applications that leverage the power of geographic information systems (GIS) and cloud technologies.
Develop full-stack GIS applications using React (front-end) and Node.js (back-end), integrating spatial data visualisation and geospatial analysis.
Build robust and scalable web services using Python and Django for efficient geospatial data processing.
Design and maintain databases, ensuring optimal performance and scalability with PostGIS on Azure PostgreSQL .
Utilise Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) , Azure Container Registry (ACR) , and other Azure tools for containerised deployments and cloud infrastructure management.
Implement geospatial processing using libraries like Rasterio , GeoPandas , and other GIS tools to handle vector and raster data.
Use OpenLayers to create dynamic, interactive map applications for web-based geospatial services.
Integrate Redis and Celery for asynchronous task management and job queuing to enhance performance and scalability.
Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and stakeholders to develop end-to-end geospatial solutions.
Ensure code quality, security, and performance through best practices, code reviews, andtesting.
Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer with a strong understanding of geospatial technologies.
Proficiency in React , Node.js , and Python/Django for developing full-stack applications.
Experience with OpenLayers or similar web mapping libraries.
Familiarity with Redis and Celery for building efficient, scalable web applications.
Strong understanding of database management, cloud architecture, and spatial data visualisation.
