This full-time position offers standard hours from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday.Located in the vibrant Leeds area, this school is dedicated to providing a nurturing and inclusive environment where students with complex needs receive tailored support to thrive. The school prioritises fostering a positive learning atmosphere that values diversity, inclusivity, and personal growth, ensuring each student achieves their full potential both academically and personally.Role and Responsibilities:Provide individualised support to children and young people with complex learning, physical, and medical needs, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and engagement in educational activities.Assist with personal care routines and medical interventions as required, following school policies and procedures.Work closely with teachers, therapists, and healthcare professionals to implement individual education and care plans (IEPs/ICPs), promoting holistic development.Maintain effective communication with parents/carers, providing feedback on student progress and supporting home-school partnerships.Requirements:Experience working with children or young people with complex learning, physical, and medical needs, preferably in an educational or care setting.Knowledge of SEN/SEND strategies and interventions to support learning and development.Ability to adapt and respond to the varying needs of students, demonstrating patience, empathy, and resilience.Enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).Eligible to work in the UK without any sponsorship.Benefits:Experience the satisfaction of supporting students in overcoming challenges and achieving milestones.Access to training and development opportunities to enhance skills in SEN/SEND support and medical care.
