Key job responsibilities
- Ensure APUK's payment activities comply with all legal and regulatory requirements by monitoring business activities and regulatory change
- Advise on regulatory requirements and develop compliance plans for new business initiatives
- Develop, document, and maintain compliance policies and procedures
- Deliver compliance awareness and training to the business
- Prepare reports for internal governance committees
- Review, challenge and approve risk records, policy breaches, and escalation items
- Collaborate with business leads to respond to auditor and regulator inquiries

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - Experience in compliance, audit or risk management
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience developing and implementing of standards, policies and programs or equivalent
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Significant regulatory compliance experience in financial services or payments
- Deep understanding of Payment Services Regulations and related FCA compliance areas like Consumer Duty, Complaints Handling and Safeguarding
- Proven ability to lead compliance strategy and regulatory engagement
- Experience of delivering results through collaboration
- Excellent communication, influencing, and presentation skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving
- Resilience and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
