Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant Company: Prospero Teaching Location: Blackley Exciting Opportunity Awaits! Prospero Teaching is on the hunt for a compassionate and skilled SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a school in Blackley. In this essential role, you will provide individualized 1:1 support to children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including those facing behavioral challenges, ADHD, and autism. We seek someone who is passionate about fostering a nurturing and inclusive learning environment both inside and outside the classroom. Key Responsibilities Personalized Support: Deliver tailored assistance to children with SEN, modifying activities to fit their specific needs and enhance their educational experience. Behaviour Support: Implement effective strategies to help students manage their emotions and interactions, promoting a calm and encouraging environment. Collaboration with Teachers: Partner with the classroom teacher to adapt lesson plans and materials, ensuring all students can fully participate. Outdoor Supervision: Ensure children's safety and inclusion during outdoor activities and playtime. Monitoring Progress: Maintain accurate records of students' progress and behavior, communicating regularly with the classroom teacher and SENCO. Teamwork: Collaborate with other teaching assistants and professionals to build a strong support network for students. Safeguarding Responsibilities: Adhere to safeguarding policies to prioritize the well-being of every child. Position Details Role: SEN Teaching Assistant Type: Temporary Contract: Contract Full-Time/Part-Time: Full-Time Minimum Pay Rate: £90+ per day Hours: 8:20 AM - 3:45 PM Contract Duration: Until July 2025 (with the possibility of extension) Experience and Qualifications Educational Background: A Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent is preferred. Experience: Previous experience in a UK school or with children with SEN is essential. Training: Current safeguarding training completed within the last year is preferred; some training will be provided. Eligibility Criteria To be considered for this role, you must: Have the Right to Work in the UK. Hold an enhanced DBS certificate or be willing to apply for one.
