Sofidel UK currently have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented Process Engineer in our paper mill department at our Baglan site. This full-time, onsite role offers an opportunity to work within our Papermill department in achieving goals related to efficiency and quality aims in accordance with the Group’s policies. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES On behalf of the Plant Manager: Ensure the achievement of productive, quality and cost-effective aims established in full compliance with: provisions and policies in matters of safety, environment and product’s safety; ISO 9001 Quality System Support the relationships with stakeholders from a technical point of view Support the Country Operations Manager in the formulation of budget proposals related to production and maintenance costs Liaise with the other depts. in order to maximise productivity, efficiency and service to clients Check and manage production and maintenance costs Guarantee the correct management and maintenance of plants Guarantee optimisation of energy consumption and exploitation of raw materials Check and validate production reports Collaborate with the CTO area personnel in the process of permanent improvement in matters of: productive efficiency; production costs; energy and raw materials consumption; environmental impact Manage relationships with the plant’s trade unions representatives in accordance with the Group’s policies Ensure professional development of the technical personnel Promote a safety-bound corporate culture Promote the Corporate Principles and Values DUTIES INCLUDE: Checking and validating production reports Collect, monitor and analyse production data from the Paper Mill (Production Output, Downtime, Quality) to identify any trends and to ensure targets are being met through the use of root cause analysis Support the Country Operations Manager in the formulation of budget proposals related to production and maintenance costs Create and review documentation related to health and safety including Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work Support the Production Manager in chemical products management  Support the Production Manager in troubleshoot production issues Create and review documentation for good practices in the plant, 5s, OPLs and the training of the relevant people Support the Production Manager to schedule production related activities  THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE: Experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment A relevant degree or equivalent experience Demonstrate interpersonal skills, teamwork and leadership capability PACKAGE/BENEFITS: Competitive Salary Company Sick Pay Pension contribution plus salary sacrifice option Private Health Insurance Life Assurance (3x annual salary) Discount on Company products Full time - 37.5 hours per week 23 days annual leave, rising to 25 with service (+ public holidays)
