GSL Education London Branch are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our lively school in the beautiful areas of Hammersmith and Fulham. About the role:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs, ensuring they have access to a personalised and inclusive learning environment. You will work closely with the classroom teacher, adapting lessons and providing one-on-one support to foster the social, emotional, and academic development of each student.
Responsibilities of the SEN Teaching Assistant:
Provide targeted support to students with SEN, focusing on both academic and emotional development.
Collaborate with teachers to create and implement personalised learning plans.
Help manage classroom activities, ensuring that all students can participate fully.
Maintain records of student progress and provide feedback to staff and parents
Requirements of the SEN Teaching Assistant:
Experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable.
Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection practices.
A positive, empathetic, and flexible approach to working with children.
Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.
Relevant qualifications or training in special education would be a bonus.
Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
