HSEQ Advisor
Midland’s region
£38,000 - £50,000 depending on experience + discretionary bonus scheme
Our market-leading client is looking to secure the services of a site based HSEQ Advisor to join their team in the Midlands. Due to growth the client is looking for the HSEQ Advisor to be fully responsible all site Health and Safety requirements.
Key requirements for the HSEQ Advisor role:
* Assist the HSEQ Lead in the reviewing and development of the Company HSEQ Procedures to ensure continual improvement.
* Support and advise all employees with regards to best practice regarding HSEQ.
* Encourage Ownership and Inclusion of all employees in the HSEQ Procedures of the Company.
* Assist with the identification of potential hazards on new contracts before commencement and liaise with Contractors and Site Managers.
* Assist and advise on the formulation of HSEQ Management Plans, Method Statements, Risk, Noise and Manual Handling Assessments.
* Assist Site Managers and/or General Forepersons carry out weekly site inspections to ensure that early safe methods of working and environmental good practice are in operation and that all Regulations and Company Policy is being observed.
* Maintain records of all injuries and near miss incidents sustained during company operations.
* Assist with training of all employees and assist the HSEQ Lead in developing and maintaining a company Health, Safety and Environmental training programme.
* Attend Company HSEQ Meetings when requested.
* Assist in the preparation of a Quarterly HSEQ report.
Skills & experience of a HSEQ Advisor role:
* Previous experience of working within a similar position for at least 2 years.
* Hold a UK driving licence.
* Have good knowledge and understanding of civil works in construction environment.
* Have a valid CSCS card.
* NEBOSH General (desirable)
* IOSH membership (desirable)
