Job Requirements / Description
As a Development Engineer you will support the residential team with construction, land viability, legal, technical, sales, and contract issues. Provide legal and technical advice. Key Responsibilities: Manage tenders for road, sewer, and land viability contracts. Oversee Section 38, 104, and 278 agreements, from drainage to adoption. Review and advise on legal and technical reports. Estimate land viability constraints and costs. Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and local authorities. Prepare contract, health & safety, and planning documentation. Assist in land remediation and discharge of planning conditions. Handle multi-utility contracts and service connections. Financially monitor road and sewer contracts. Provide support to Divisional Directors for land acquisitions and enquiries.Ideal Candidate: Strong communication, technical, and legal knowledge in road, sewer, and SUDS approval. Ability to review reports, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks. Estimating abnormal costs and reporting accurately. Self-motivated, flexible, and able to work independently or in a team. AutoCAD knowledge desirable, but not essential. Knowledge of building regulations and NHBC standards. Collaborative team player with a positive attitude.
