Position Overview: We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Commis Chef to join our culinary team. As a Commis Chef at Steak and Company you will assist in the preparation and execution of high-quality dishes, supporting our chefs and contributing to the overall success of our kitchen. Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation and cooking of dishes according to menu specifications and standards Support senior chefs in daily kitchen operations and food preparation Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are maintained at all times Help monitor inventory levels and assist in stock management Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain smooth and efficient operations Adhere to all health and safety regulations Requirements: Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not essential Basic knowledge of culinary techniques and practices Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and teamwork skills Attention to detail and a passion for food Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Benefits: £13.94 starting salary with a rise to £14.44 inclusive of tronc hourly after probation A free staff meal on shift 50% discount on food and drink Peoples Pension scheme contribution after 3 months Recommend a friend scheme with great bonuses per individual referral A fast-track career progression and CPL training 28 Days paid holiday per year, inclusive of Bank Holidays
