Our client is a highly successful storage and distribution company, currently realising a number of expansion plans. They are presently seeking a Transport Planner for their Head Office on the outskirts of Derby. Although this is a temporary role, it is expected to be a long term arrangement with the possibility of a permanent job for the right person.
General duties will entail:
- Using software, plan customer deliveries accordingly
- Maximizing on capacity and efficiency
- Sourcing and planning backloads
- Liaison with other depots
- Ensure a healthy profit margin is maintained from vehicles
- Associated admin duties
It is expected that the successful candidate will have multi-drop planning experience along with solid geographical knowledge. You should also possess great communication skills and be adept at driver management.
The hours for this role are: 12pm - 8:30pm, M-F
