Job Title: Assessor in Plumbing and Domestic Heating Department: Apprenticeships & Business Engagement Section: Apprenticeships Salary: Up to £35,000 + Market Supplement DOE
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assessor in Plumbing and Domestic Heating to join our team at Hugh Baird College. In this role, you will be responsible for the delivery and assessment of competence-based training, including group or classroom-based sessions, in the workplace and college environment. Key Responsibilities Deliver and assess competence-based training, including group or classroom-based sessions, in the workplace or college environment
Set, mark, and assess students work, ensuring that learning outcomes have been met and that feedback is both detailed and constructive
Keep up to date with relevant course subject matter, industrial/commercial developments, course examination/assessment requirements and legislation
Use technology, including the colleges virtual learning environment, effectively to enable independent learning at any time or place
Be an active member of course/subject teams and attend Directorate and College meetings, as required
Essential Criteria: D32/33 A1 or equivalent
Level 3 or equivalent Qualification in Plumbing and Gas
Maths & English Level 2 or equivalent or willing to work towards
Ability to deliver high-quality teaching, assessment and learning on Plumbing and Domestic Heating Apprenticeships
Possess sufficient breadth and/or depth of specialist knowledge and trade experience of Plumbing and Domestic Heating
Appropriate knowledge of NVQ Plumbing and Domestic Heating
Experience in Assessing competency-based learning
