The Group Product Strategy Director plays a key role in developing and delivering the product vision and roadmap for IQ-EQ, aligning with the business strategy and customer needs.

The role works closely with all group functions, particularly Group Commercial with a particular focus on working closely across the three segments, Group Operations, Marketing, Group Risk and Compliance as well as Group Technology, to ensure a compelling and competitive product strategy is developed and products are effectively delivered through the appropriate tech and operations architecture.

The focus of this role - supported by a small team - is to develop and drive the product strategy across the group, whilst also acting as a strategic leader and mentor for the product function to foster a culture of excellence and collaboration.

  • Product Strategy - Expert, developing, implementing and evolving product strategies that align with the group vision, customer needs, and market trends. Working closely with segment heads and regional teams to develop product strategies. With a focus on new as well as developing existing products in line with market regulation and macros trends.
  • Product Innovation - Skilled in identifying opportunities for product innovation, conducting user research, and validating product ideas through prototyping and testing.
  • Product Governance - Experienced in leading and mentoring product teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, and driving product excellence across the group. Ensuring analysis and delivery of product launches in line with group governance forums.
  • Stakeholder Management - Excellent stakeholder management skills to communicate product vision, roadmap, and value proposition to internal and external stakeholders, and to manage expectations and feedback.
  • Product Analytics - Proficient in using product analytics tools and metrics to measure and optimize product performance, user engagement, and customer satisfaction.

Day to Day Responsibilities

  • Strategy and Vision - Define and communicate the Product strategy and vision for the group, aligning it with the overall group strategy and business objectives.
  • Product Development - Lead the development and delivery of products that meet client and market needs. Incubating new products within the product team post launch.
  • Innovation and Experimentation - Foster a culture of innovation and experimentation, leveraging emerging technologies and methodologies to generate new insights and value propositions.
  • Quality and Standards - Establish and enforce quality and standards across the group, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and governance of business cases.
  • Stakeholder Management - Engage and influence senior stakeholders across the group and market, such as product owners, senior leadership, and clients, to understand their needs and expectations, and to demonstrate the value and impact of products.
  • Performance and Optimization - Evaluate and optimize the performance and scalability of systems, processes, and products, ensuring efficiency and reliability.
  • Team Leadership and Development - Lead and mentor the product team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture, and providing opportunities for learning and growth.
Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge of the group, its structure, services and provision to support the articulation of the growth and product story
  • Proven experience in product strategy, consulting or similar roles within financial services
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience managing senior stakeholders from across the business and market.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into data solutions.
  • Excellent organisational skills and time management skills to manage multiple competing priorities and urgent deadlines.
  • Knowledge of financial services, including private markets, corporate services and institutional / wealth management.
