Demonstration Manager

Demonstration Manager / Applications Engineer / Product Specialist required to join a leading manufacturer of metrology equipment including inspection, measuring instruments, vision systems, hardness testers, gauging, optical measurement equipment, etc. The Demonstration Manager will ideally be based in or around the Midlands area (other areas would be considered), working from home and will be required to visit customer sites throughout the UK. You will support the sales team by driving and coordinating the demonstration vehicle to customer visits as well as trade shows. The Demonstration Manager will ideally have a hands on background using metrology / inspection equipment, 3D Measuring systems, 3D coordinate measuring technology, CMMs, optical / vision systems, inspection, calibration or gauging equipment. Customer facing experience as an Application Engineer, Sales Engineer or similar would be beneficial. This would also suit an Inspection Engineer, Metrology Technician, Metrology Engineer, Quality Inspector / Quality Engineer looking to move into a customer facing, technical position.   You must have a UK Driving License and be willing to drive mobile demonstration vehicle (3.5 tonne) throughout the UK.   Package Competitive salary depending on experience Commission Company car / car allowance as well 3.5 tonne mobile demonstration vehicle Bupa Pension – 5% 33 days holiday + 3 days over Christmas   Role Supporting the UK sales team in delivery product demonstrations, sales and technical support at customer sites throughout the UK Driving the mobile demonstration vehicle (3.5 tonne) to customers Perform customer-facing technical demonstrations alongside Area Sales Managers and Product Specialists Interpretation of customer drawings, ensuring the the correct inspection product is chosen Reporting to the UK Sales Manager Providing customer demos, sales and technical support on a range of metrology / inspection equipment, 3D Measuring systems, 3D coordinate measuring technology, CMMs, optical / vision systems, inspection, calibration or gauging equipment Support the Sales Team in identifying sales opportunities with current and potential new customers Support the UK Distribution network Assist with making customer proposals Logistics and management of the mobile demonstration vehicle Working from home, with UK wide travel   Requirements A hands on background using metrology / inspection equipment, 3D Measuring systems, 3D coordinate measuring technology, CMMs, optical / vision systems, inspection, calibration or gauging equipment looking to move into a customer facing, technical position. This would suit an Inspection Engineer, Metrology Technician, Metrology Engineer, Quality Inspector, Quality Engineer looking to move into a customer facing, technical position Previous customer facing experience as a Demonstration Manager / Applications Engineer / Sales Engineer, Product Specialist or a similar demonstration / sales role using metrology products An engineering qualification or apprenticeship would be beneficial Full UK Driving License, willing to drive a 3.5 tonne vehicle throughout the UK
