The Company:

We are working with a leading Regional Building Contractor whose team would generally deliver projects for clients principally based around Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Merseyside, North Wales and Cheshire. They work on new build, refurbishment and maintenance schemes for both public and private sector clients generally valued up to £10 Million. They have had good, consistent growth over the last 10 years and make above industry average margins, have a very good financial footing and a really strong pipeline of projects secured through key procurement Frameworks and good relationships with private clients and consultants.
The Role:

They are now in a position to recruit a Chief Estimator to manage a small but growing Estimating team.
Ideally, they would like to take somebody working at Estimating Manager/Chief Estimator level but would also consider recruiting someone currently working at Senior Estimator level with the knowledge and gravitas to step into this position. You will be given a good degree of autonomy and although systems and procedures are working well as a business, they are open to you putting your stamp on things. In addition to the management, development and guidance of the team the role entails arranging and chairing tender launch and settlement meetings, value engineering, estimating, working with the design and operations teams and the supply chain, submitting and gaining feedback on tenders, will attend meetings with clients/their representatives and sites.
You'll work closely with the rest of the senior leadership team, the commercial, technical and ops teams providing advice on risk.
You:

To be successful in this role you will need to have worked as an Estimating Manager, Chief or Senior Estimator for a similar business pricing projects. You will be based in or be able to commute to the North West of England daily. You'll have good verbal and written communication skills. IT literate with excellent knowledge of Microsoft programs and estimating software.
